Early in the Summer I asked Spirit for a 'Bee' Through. And I've been in the disorienting dark of the void ever since.
It's not quite a dark night of the soul or that unmusical catchall word depression. Today's card exactly hit the spot, as it's been an exercise in waiting like the Crane. Reading about the bird the Irish and British called 'one of the wonders' reminds me of scrying -- watching the waters for messages.
From the Druid Animal Oracle: "...the crane conveys the capacity to be focused and to be able to concentrates without distraction. It brings an ability to guide others into the Underworld, to help them with their transition at the time of dying, or with their journeying in the inner realm. As well as conveying an ability to work in the 'Underworld," the crane symbolizes archae science or Secret Knowledge, which in the Druid tradition is represented by the Ogham script -- the tree-language of Druidry. In the widest sense, learning this language involves learning to read the 'Book of Nature.'"
