Taurus New Moon / Good Tree = Good Fruit

It's Taurus New Moon time, one of the most favorable of the year for letting go of the inner scaffolding of stress, and re-wilding yourself.  It's this Sunday late for US West Coasters, into Monday for East Coasters and Londoners. 

Go barefoot, eat fruits in season and take it easy Taurus-style.

Taurus is about fertility, fruitfulness and bringing your gifts to fruition.  It's also the sign of enduring values, along with the the art of living and the living arts. 

I've been getting the message that comes from the Bible, which I think is timely and kinda lovely in its simplicity. 

Ye Shall Know Them By Their Fruits

The fuller passage from the King James Bible reads: 

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (from New Testament, Matthew 7:16-20)

I dare say we live in a confusing time, and much of that has to do with corrupt trees bringing forth evil fruit. 

The Taurus lunation invites you to grow your roots strong, by having integrity and the moral courage to live your values.  And to invest your time and talent in what you love heartily, and want to see grow up abundantly around you. 

The researcher David Icke, a Taurus himself born on April 29th, is credited with saying "Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground." 

I usually ponder the themes of the New Moon in the days before, and see what swirls around naturally.  So see how you go....it's a fine one to simply Be, and it's also one that looks to elevate, and bring out the better angels in ourselves and others. 

There's a Venus-Neptune trine now and at the New Moon, to revive weary souls, and bring some cosmic cheer.  It's often said, by sages, that while it looks at times like evil (the shadow) has the upper hand, the more supreme power is Love.  And that Love is the only thing that lasts. 

Look to dreams for messages that come from the soul, that are reminders of that oft-times veiled reality.  This is a New Moon to soak up those fine vibes, and be heartened to live authentically, and faithfully, in the days ahead.
