Yesterday I linked to an article on the parasitic death culture, and the choice between the death force (and romance with it) and the life force. I'm training to be a wildlife rehabber, with birds, and it's a way to actively nurture the growing life force. Gardening is that for me, too.
Here are two of my charges, the before (from end of June), to now. One is a bit behind the other developmentally, and almost didn't make it. These two were found during a construction job, as eggs, and the fellow incubated them, then took them to Wild Birds Unlimited. Pigeons are the first domesticated bird, with Egyptian hieroglyphs of them etched in stone. They're in the same clade (ancestral line) as doves, the Peace bird.
