I had the awful experience recently of being attacked as a shill and/or troll on a forum.
I posted an article about it a few days ago, but deleted it, because Mercury is still retrograde (to June 11th). And even though the "as above, so below" here is spot on, it's too sensitive to share, likely because it involves my Moon (Gemini).
It's likely the most confounding Mercury retro experience I've ever had.
In her newsletter, I noticed Melody Scott Zindell used the word dissonance to describe the current energies, a beehive of Gemini planets to the New Moon (June 15th). That's it exactly, a frenzy of confusion that leads to questioning everything.
This mistaken identity scenario on a forum hit close to home in a few ways, and there was the Gemini buzz with Mercury retrograde, all stinging my Moon. Then there's Neptune at that square angle to cast a glamor or to stir up doubt in general.
In the days since this happened, I've wondered about Neptune and how it affects how you're seen by others -- in this case, in a false light.
In her post on this wily Mercury Retrograde in Gemini, Melody writes, "The whole time Neptune is at 9 Pisces, so Mercury is squaring Neptune bringing more potential for challenges with communication, secrets and lies, confusion, miscommunication, distortions, deceits and generally not the best time for negotiations."
Cursing and 'Net Bullying
Because of the intensity I feel about what I shared -- and how it was received -- it hit me hard and I was spinning on it for a few days. My astro-friend Robert Phoenix had a similar thing happen, and he writes about it in, When Rogue Vermin Become Spiritual Teachers and Rebirth in the Season of the Ram.
Someone came on his radio show and pulled some chart trickery, then launched an attack "frothing and cursing." He writes, "There’s a reason why they call it cursing as I felt slightly paralyzed in the moments and days after the event."
Like Robert, I went into the forum open and got a nasty shock, not expecting to be torn apart verbally.
Being charitable here, I can see how they might've put together that impression from the bits and pieces of what I said (Gemini and Neptune-Pisces). But it's a false conclusion. And by any standard, they were hostile.
Sticks and Stones
It was the perfect astro-weather for false accusations that go viral and lead to a pelting with mean words.
I didn't make a graceful exit, and the whole experience was awkward, but that's life. Sometimes it's messy like that -- it's dissonant.
There's a lesson in there about boundaries, to do with sharing info (Gemini) -- sometimes unwitting TMI, especially under the intoxicating spell of Neptune, can get you into sticky situations.
I'm sure there will be more meaning to unwrap in the days to come, with Mercury retro to June 11th.
Solstice Fires of Purification - June 21st
In general, there's some strange currents in the psychosphere.
Melody mentioned "coming home" to yourself, and that's what's helped me banish the residual negativity of that experience.
The big light of the Sun at its peak (symbolically) drives away shadows and shadowy people. Here are two two articles I've done on this in the last few days.
Solstice Ends the Spring Equinox Special: Book now (and schedule later) for yourself or as a gift, now to June 21st.
Taurus Lunation: The craft and earth-wise instincts of Taurus are a path to adjust our aspirational aim.
One way to look at the Moon's cycle is as a lunation -- from New Moon to New Moon. So this Taurus New Moon (May 17/18th) includes the peak of the Full Moon on June 2nd at 12 degrees Sagittarius.
How do the seeds sown in Taurus, bear fruit in Sagittarius?
Free associate your Taurus impressions (here are mine): fertility, comfort, pleasure, craft, organic, rooted, earthed, sensual, voluptuous, hearty, conservation-minded, investments, artisan skills and goods, flavorful, ripening, well-tended.
In what ways do these become the ground from which to reach out into the world, as seeker, adventurer or achiever? There's also here the rare wisdom path of the earthed sage -- the one with feet on the ground, intimate with their surroundings.
There is so much to learn about Earth energies and the Real Power of Earthing to Heal. But when you're earthed for real, how does it alter the aspirations themselves?
I've been feeling some aspirational befuddlement, and see a parallel with Neptune, working my own mutable energies. And that's coming up as a factor for all, with Neptune (Pisces) square to the Sagittarius Full Moon. A question to ponder could be - how does heightened awareness of all that's vibing me (nature, universe) alter my aim/aspirations?
There can be a loosening of the hold of goals that seemed so solid before. In a time of such change, reality is fluid, old roles and dreams fall away like ill-fitting garments.
Neptune in its long transit in Pisces dissolves and resolves, freeing us from thinking we must go a certain way in life....but without that sense of direction, there can be lostness.
Coming back to the beginning, since we are still in the 3 day New Moon window, let's get back to basics, the dirt under our feet. It can be a relief to stand firm, and feel supported, especially when you're not sure where you're going.
The Tarot card shown here is the Queen of Cups, from the Druid Craft Tarot Deck. Cups are the suit of the water element, but as with all the Court cards in this deck, she is standing on terra firma. The image is so au natural, and with the symbol of the cup, the waters that stir us in unexpected ways -- dreams, impressions, feelings, pulls from others, memories, past lives, imaginings. These all shape our sense of reality, and sense of direction
The earth is physical reality in all its heaviness, pleasure, sensory delight or struggle. There's power in being grounded that helps not to be tossed about by the seas of inner and outer change.
One way to Earth is to go barefoot, and I'll be doing that today, though I have to watch out for my nemesis -- the pine cone, of which we have many.
The waning cycle is time to release and refine, and get ready for the Gemini New Moon on June 16, when the cycle begins again....
Dandelion globes are popping up now in grassy places here, just in time to blow them hither and yon. A folk notion is that when you blow the seeds, you send out your thoughts and dreams to those you love.
I've long thought of dandelions together with mutable air sign Gemini. The ideas and impressions drift out and may or may not land on anything, or take root.
Today Mercury goes retrograde in Gemini at 13 degrees and will whirl erratically to June 11th. So with Mercury's retrograde in the sign of the trickster, distraction is a biggie. For example, I just spend over an hour looking at pictures of whimsical weather vanes!
Just like the weather vane, your directional could change quickly. Gemini is a speedy messenger, and Mercury is at home here, jumping through mental terrain like greased lightning.
In retrograde, there could be a revival of old fascinations. There could be a situation with siblings, or extended family (aunts, uncles). You could rearrange your thinking. It's a time to return to a study of a language, or to revise a story, paper, post or podcast.
And since Gemini is a broadcasting sign, you could see a special charge, to do with information itself -- perhaps a revisit of an idea whose time has now come.
So today, in honor of this special time of Mercury's retrograde, I'll blow a dandelion globe, and send out some air mail messages. Are dandelions growing where you are?
I just learned (in the spirit of the learner Gemini) that the Dandelion used to be called Lion's Tooth. The leaves of the Dandelion have that jagged edge, like a Lion's tooth. Later, the French name for it was Dent de Lion, and the English eventually started saying Dandelion.
Dandelions are also the superfood in your yard disguised as weeds. The greens are delicious in salads, but get a bit bitter when they're older (just like planted salad greens). I've noticed by the time the globe is here, the leaves are bitter, though I still use them in stir fry dishes.
I'm fixing to heed my own advice and go radio silent with the Dark of the Moon. Today I wrote on 3 Ways to Protect Your New Moon Wishes on About.com.
It's an art to tune in to the energies there, and then to have feelers and antennae alert to what's going to just muck it up.
So my Moon gadget to the right here is showing that Luna is 0% of Full.
A final thought about the Taurus New Moon (exact late Sun, early hours Monday for US East Coast/London)....to do with Venus and Neptune, the love supremes you can call them.
My friend Jamie Walters pointed out the two T-squares in the New Moon chart. That's a lot of churning, provoking, struggle-to-be-born kind of action. One is in the first decan degrees of mutables (Saturn, Mars and Neptune) -- the other is in first responder cardinal signs (Venus, Uranus and Pluto).
What I note here is that two planets involved in those T-squares, are in a friendly angle to each other -- Venus and Neptune at 9 degrees in water signs. Venus is in nurturing, but touchy-protective Cancer. Neptune is at home in the sign of the dreamer, and that includes shared dreams of culture like art, cinema and music.
So a love note from these planets, could be to let love be the bridge that takes you to new fertile ground. That what's struggling to be born is a world that is driven by what we share, this divine urge to love and protect others, especially the young, vulnerable or those down on their luck.
Time to invest in the beautiful and morally upright. To plant seeds of new stories, art, music and movies that celebrate empathy, overcoming, elevating and comforting.
The biggies like Saturn might say to let this naturally humane side lead, there's some deprogramming to do. A new world is being ordered out of the chaos (Uranus and Pluto), but will we fall prey to beliefs or conditioning that rob us of our humanity?
The magic love potion of Venus and Neptune is here at the Venus-touched New Moon, to revive, elevate, and urge us each to transcend with small and big steps.
Every now and then, I get a reminder that all of this -- this whole Earthly life -- is about love, in all its expressions. That includes high risk, courageous love that overthrows the milquetoast, but familiar, status quo.
And that's the octave that's being belted out here by the cosmic chorus. You can play the Diva of your own life, cheers on the Jupiter-Uranus trine in breathless and big personality fire signs.
All the while,Venus and its higher octave Neptune are strumming the sweeter melodies within us -- and around us -- as reminders of what it's all about. Catch you all on the flip-side!
It's Taurus New Moon time, one of the most favorable of the year for letting go of the inner scaffolding of stress, and re-wilding yourself. It's this Sunday late for US West Coasters, into Monday for East Coasters and Londoners.
Go barefoot, eat fruits in season and take it easy Taurus-style.
Taurus is about fertility, fruitfulness and bringing your gifts to fruition. It's also the sign of enduring values, along with the the art of living and the living arts.
I've been getting the message that comes from the Bible, which I think is timely and kinda lovely in its simplicity.
Ye Shall Know Them By Their Fruits
The fuller passage from the King James Bible reads:
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (from New Testament, Matthew 7:16-20)
Personal Dedication Ceremony
I dare say we live in a confusing time, and much of that has to do with corrupt trees bringing forth evil fruit.
The Taurus lunation invites you to grow your roots strong, by having integrity and the moral courage to live your values. And to invest your time and talent in what you love heartily, and want to see grow up abundantly around you.
The researcher David Icke, a Taurus himself born on April 29th, is credited with saying "Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground."
I usually ponder the themes of the New Moon in the days before, and see what swirls around naturally. So see how you go....it's a fine one to simply Be, and it's also one that looks to elevate, and bring out the better angels in ourselves and others.
There's a Venus-Neptune trine now and at the New Moon, to revive weary souls, and bring some cosmic cheer. It's often said, by sages, that while it looks at times like evil (the shadow) has the upper hand, the more supreme power is Love. And that Love is the only thing that lasts.
Look to dreams for messages that come from the soul, that are reminders of that oft-times veiled reality. This is a New Moon to soak up those fine vibes, and be heartened to live authentically, and faithfully, in the days ahead.
Lately, I've been thinking about the responsibility that comes with knowledge. And asking myself the question, "Am I being true to what I know?"
And an astro mirror here is Saturn retrograding in Sagittarius, the sign that makes leaps of logic, and dot connects in amazing ways.
By the way, Saturn is retrograde from mid-March (4 Sag) to August 2nd (28 Scorpio). As I write, Saturn is at 2 degrees Sagittarius -- is it making angles to restore -- or reinforce -- what's true in your astro chart?
The knowing of Sagittarius is way beyond this ubiquitous Smart that's looking real retarded in many ways. The knowing of Sagittarius is a fusion of intuition, instinct and something more....
While Saturn is in Sagittarius, it seems the truth seeker finds its credibility and wisdom-from-experience. This is potentially stabilizing and freeing, in a time when more are turning off toxic, phoney, scripted and lying establishment media.
A boundary is being set, with what's clouding the truth. Some of the mainstream media people have lost their authority, due to being caught lying. Saturn says No, to liars, disinfo agents, propaganda cinema, weaponized memes, and divide & conquer schemes.
This morning, I read some sunshiney news. That there's angst coming out of an establishment "think tank" about the rise of dramatically empowered individuals and groups. That would be anybody that doesn't want to be full spectrum dominated, tells the truth (about anything) or doesn't want a global government of psychopaths.
Here at the end of the Uranus-Pluto square, that's a bright spot in a (still) very dark tunnel. The fight for the future is still on, and looks to be intensifying this year.
That's why the fight for perception, and the consensus about what's true -- as the basis for society -- is being so vigorously fought over.
Saying No, To Create Boundaries
The dramatically empowered individual (or group) is one that stands in the courage of their convictions.
As Saturn moves back into Scorpio, it's worth tracking what keeps that vibrant voice silenced. We're inundated with info that pulls on our energy, muddies the water, or tweaks primal fears. This is a great time to be cleansed from the poisoned well that has tainted many currents of culture.
On Saturn when it's retrograde in the birth chart, Lynn Koiner writes, "The most common flaw is the tendency to say YES when we should say NO, especially in activities and relationships ruled by Saturn’s house position."
Saying Yes, for a Big Vision
Taking the scythe of Saturn to what sabotages your truth meter, can bring in fresh vitality.
I like Lynn Koiner's description of learning the lessons of Saturn, as saying No before you get frustrated, not after. So let me ask you this -- does the TMI of our culture frustrate you? Is it time to cut out anything that causes you to lose confidence in your instinctive knowing? Does the fear of the reactions of others -- the psychic debris that could come out explosively -- keep you silent?
By Summer's end, a reinvigorated vision for the the future could be freed up. As Saturn dips back into soulful Scorpio, we can see into what hooks us psychologically, and why.
This could be the Summer of popping psyops and entrancements in their tracks.
And seeing the dramatically empowered individuals and groups live into big, worthy visions. That sounds like a jovial future to me!
Here's something to ponder from Bruce Lipton - You can use 100% of your brain, by going beyond habitual patterns. Oh, and crossing your arms and legs. Smile....
So since the Apocquiclipse (yeah, I made that up) on March 20th, I've been in what's felt like bewildering energetic terrain. It's been a strange brew, made all the stranger with the surreal news and revelations coming at lightning speed.
And it seems others alert to the psychosphere picked that up, too.
This comes from Hope Shining through the Cloud by Soren Dreier:
"There seems to have been a ‘re-booting’ of the souls and important to me: The nervous systems of very sensitive people.
Re-booting requires a point of Zero in the most fragile of moments where the internal system is about to flat-line before it comes up again.
In that pristine moment of nothing, there are no attachments and that can be a bit confusing. If we get too confused, we will fill that moment of Zero with: Spiritual discipline, what we should do, could do and even more agonizing: What we can’t do, and a ‘falling into the void’ — feel."
I also resonate with Sarah Varcas' take in Do Nothing, Just Listen:
"Deep wisdom is available now, in the silence of our hearts, but the prevailing imperative to ‘DO SOMETHING!’ will have its way if we let it. Action at times like this simply obscures the path not progresses it. It is born of frustration or confusion, an unwillingness to bear with the discomfort of simply not knowing what comes next. We must embrace this place of confusion for the deeper wisdom of this new cycle to arise. Only in doing so can we truly discern the path ahead."
If you have an observing eye on the bigger picture, look seriously at all that's coming out, into the light of day. That's also a sign of quickening, and release of what's been. Zen Gardner rightly senses we're at a critical tipping point at the crossroads of time.
Zen writes, "No doubt the external world situation grows more direful by the day, but it’s important for people to be able to identify these powerful shifts now taking place for their own encouragement and inspiration. While the forces of abuse and control seem to be making monstrous strides toward their end game, their machinations are becoming more obvious and clearly malicious. As people are able to step back and identify the fact that their world is a completely manipulated one they shed their fear of it and soon find their true spiritual and consciously aware footing."
And I sense the leading edge of a new energy-wave that has a translator-receiver in the heart. In a sync with Soren's emphasis on the heart and the "Old Fox," I mentioned that both in my article on the upcoming Libra Eclipse. It's the one said by the Fox in the Little Prince, "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
With the first Eclipse at 29 Pisces, the waves were collective and soulful, and a full soak in all that's absorbed -- the knowing -- that's not acted on or expressed. It's the terrain of lostness, when we are forced to pretend we are shallow people that don't "see" (intuit) what's really going on.
So how do we find our "true spiritual and consciously aware footing?" The biggest leap, for me, was realizing that there is a matrix (a shared energetic reality), and that it's not set in stone. And I think of that very thing when pondering the Saturn-Neptune square. What is reality? And how is it shaped and updated by what we perceive through the higher spiritual faculties?
When you get that cognitive dissonance about the news, an event, or what a spokesperson is saying, it's because it doesn't jibe with your own knowing.
So some continue to live with the cog d and others get curious about that, delving into that perceptual rift. It's disorienting, but it's eventually stabilizing because you do find your footing. The more you trust your knowing, the more confidence you get in your ability to navigate these energetic storms and shift in perception.
An astro session can place you in the phenomenon of the times. I can assist you in affirming your own instincts and knowing, and also spot possibilities at the edge. Go here for or more on readings.
Some soul sludge got stirred up for me at the Pisces New Moon - Eclipse and I've felt deep in it since then. It was a direct hit to my 29 degree Chiron, the wounded healer.
I'm reeling from a full energetic unveiling of the wounds that don't heal, the ones that are entwined with things like identity and self-value. I've seen the theme of hurt lately, that often comes with profound growth....so if you're experiencing that, you're not alone.
And in it, there does seem to be a choice, though I've had raw moments that aren't pretty or 'enlightened.'
I don't have time today to say more, but wanted to put out this message, in case you're feeling like someone dropped you in the deep end, weighted with stones. I've been here before, with intensity-hurt (shadow) waves, but it feels perhaps more connected to the bigger drama and suffering of all life (Pisces).
This article from Zen Gardner -- A Time of Revelation -- made me feel less alone with it.
"We are being empowered by the mightiest force in the Universe. The Universe itself. We can steer through this madness with calmness of heart and soul and a determined mind, or let it disturb us and send us into lower level thinking and vibration."
Some soul-food for the Dark of the Moon to the eclipse (March 20th) in Pisces, the sign of the mystic. The video below has a Berry quote (which I couldn't find just now on the 'net), to do with entrancement. That there is a profound magic holding us to the habits of consumerism that keep us from living life soulfully.
And being dedicated to fostering "creative entrancement," and healing the broken connections we've lost with the universe, the magic of nature and our own inner worlds.
"Wildness we might consider as the root of the authentic spontaneities of any being. It is that wellspring of creativity whence comes the instinctive activities that enable all living beings to obtain their food, to find shelter, to bring forth their young: to sing and dance and fly through the air and swim through the depths of the sea. This is the same inner tendency that evokes the insight of the poet, the skill of the artist and the power of the shaman."
